CLASS PAYMENTS - Class payments are paid via standing order (so you can pause payments in school holidays) each week, to be paid on a Monday Morning for the full weeks classes. We do ask for your child to commit to their class and you are paying for your child's place and not per class. And so again, all missed classes are to be paid for during term time. We cannot accept ‘Can we pay later’ or ‘I’ll pay you next time’. All children must always sign in at the desk so we can record their attendance.

All missed classed in term time are chargeable and need to be paid for, regardless of reason. As your child is paying for their place rather than per class. Late payments will incur a 50p per week late charge.
We are usually open throughout school holidays providing our optional Shadazzle Holiday Clubs & Workshops. Information regarding these will be posted in our FB Parents group and social media. We are closed over the Christmas period and Bank Holiday Mondays.
UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS - Once your child is settled in, our minimum uniform requirements for sing, dance & act classes and dance squads are Shadazzle T-shirt, Shadazzle or Plain Black Leggings/Shorts & Jazz Shoes. ‘Bloch Black Split Sole Slip-On Jazz Shoes’ are needed for all classes (not cheer). EBay and Amazon (‘Bloch’ make is great) and any dance shop sell these for around £20.
For Cheer/Acro Class (optional for other classes) Students are required to wear a Shadazzle leotard, black Shadazzle dance shorts. For just Cheer Tuesdays, plain white running trainers are required to leave at the studio for class, ASDA sell great ones for around £10.
You can collect an order form for other uniform items from the desk at the studio.
Hair should be tied back always, preferably in a bun, low pony or braided. High Pony for Cheer.
Please provide a drink of water for class. And lastly please ensure your child has been to the toilet before class.
CHEERLEADING/CHEER POM COMP CLASSES; IMPORTANT - These are all COMPETITION CLASSES. We ask for complete commitment to our cheer classes, stretching, practicing their routines, jumps and arm motions at home is essential.
As we are working on stunts, tumbles and lifts, concentration and safety is paramount. Please be aware that injuries can happen whilst stunting etc and to avoid this as much as we can we need to make this class stricter than our other classes. Parents may choose to take out injury insurance (‘Insure 4 Sport’ is what we use for our teachers and public liability) and to avoid this as much as we can we need to make this class stricter than our other classes. We are training to compete in a difficult competitive sport with our teams and please be prepared that this does in-cure a class uniform and comp uniform cost of around £125. Also costs to enter the 3 comps a year that we enter, of around £16-£35 entry each, £12-£22 spectator and travel fees.
Absences mean that your child’s team can’t stunt or rehearse properly, and this has a huge impact on the class schedule and team. Acceptable absences include bereavement, wedding, contagious illness, health issue and family holidays. Choosing to commit to a competition team does unfortunately mean your child may have to miss out on other activities out of Shadazzle. If you feel that your child can’t commit to that, that’s ok, there are lots of other ‘non-comp’ classes to choose from in Shadazzle. As Cheer is a competition team sport, if we had just one child off every session, we wouldn’t never be ready to compete.
If your child wishes to drop out of the class we ask that this is done after the competition that they are training for, as the whole class formations will need to be restructured.
As we have a waiting list, we kindly ask for you to let us know if your child is going to be absent via email@example.com or FB message. If your child misses more than two classes in a row without letting us know, we will have to assume they do not require their place any longer.
